just a little post
Its the week before school starts! UGGGGG!!!
We were suppose to be on vacation this week..... but Shelby Jr. High decided that would not happen for us. Last Thursday I get a package in the mail & assume it's Joey's school schedule. I open it up all excited only to find it's a bunch of paperwork that has to be filled out (all the exact same paperwork I fill out every single year) & must be turned in at registration....which is scheduled for today. So, no big deal right? We'll go up north a day or two later & get Joey registered for Jr. High. Nope, not happening...... because we must also attend Orientation on Thursday! Needless to say, no vacation. Of course there's a million & one things for us to get done at home, since Bob & I are both off for the week. We are trying to look on the bright side, which would be the weather report for Lewiston......COLD. So, the beach & Jet Ski's would not have happened anyways. I would have enjoyed the cool evenings in jeans & sweatshirts by the camp fires! Oh well. So what to do? We're still trying to figure that out. We want to take the kids somewhere even if for just a day, just has to be inexpensive......?......?......
Alyson, my little cousin, or as my husband would say, little sister, stayed with us for four days last week. Saturday we went to a friends Pig Roast, which was difficult for me to see but made it through it. We had fun visiting with some old friends & the kids made new friends. Sunday we......i don't think we did anything much but visit on Sunday, it was a rainy day. Monday we went to The Toledo Zoo! It was wonderful! I have never been so close to some of those animals before! it was amazing! Tuesday we went to my cousin TJ's house to visit & see his five month old beautiful baby girl Alexis. Wednesday was another rainy day & Alyson had to go home. :( We miss her. We'll see her again around the holidays. I will try to get some pics up tonight!
